Privacy notice

Last reviewed: 8 September 2026

This page explains, in plain English, what information this site collects and what happens to it. We keep it deliberately short — there is very little to tell. We collect only what is needed for the choice you make and explain the separate choices for email and analytics below.

Who runs this site

A Relative Matter is run by the team behind Kinclara. It is an independent information resource for family carers in Ireland. If you want to contact us about your data, email hello@kinclara.ie — this inbox is monitored specifically for this site.

Your email address

You can download or print every resource without giving us an email address. We ask for an address only if you tick the optional subscription box for the resource library and occasional family-care guidance.

Analytics

If you accept the optional analytics choice, we use PostHog, hosted in the EU, to understand which guidance actually helps. That means the pages you visit on this site, how long you stay, the site that referred you here (a search engine, for example), and a few specific actions — resource-action requests, subscription requests and Kinclara CTA clicks.

We do not identify your email address in PostHog, use session replay, record what you type, or capture form values. We do not use analytics for advertising or named lead profiling. Rejecting analytics does not affect downloads or email subscription.

You can change this browser’s analytics choice at any time using “Analytics choices” in the footer. We store that choice in your browser so the banner does not keep returning.

Resource-library browser preference

After the subscription endpoint accepts a request, this browser stores a first-party preference for 90 days so the subscription invitation is not repeated on every article. It contains only a submitted-request state and expiry time — never your email address, subscriber ID, care information or confirmation status. Clearing browser storage or using another device shows the invitation again.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. Email hello@kinclara.ie and we'll act on it. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland's supervisory authority.

Changes to this notice

If how we handle your information changes, this page will be updated and the "Last reviewed" date above will change with it.
